PALIN WINS!?!
Gov. Palin finaly won the beauty contest that she so desparately wanted.
If I hear one more comment from any pundit about her great smile, or seeming charisma I will know that we have fallen into that abyss that has enraptured the American public, known more commonly as “Reality TV”.
I need not remind you that this is a race for the most powerful position in this human world, not a beauty contest. We elect our officials mainly, and hopefully, on the merits of their policies and grasp of the issues that face their constituants, so I hope that we as “Joe Six-Packs”, and “Hockey Moms”, really bad euphamisms by the way, are able to see through the lip-stick and see who understands what is really happening.
Gov. Palin managed to give a stump speech without a responding audience, and while I commend her for that, she was not able to speak about the specifics of anything, and if you read the transcript you will see that this is a truth. On at least two occasions she said that we were working with the Iraqi government and Al Quaeda!?!?!? Last time I checked we were trying to defeat Al Quaeda, with the Iraqi government.

in the old days it would be obvious to all that palin was the loser because in the old days you actually had to answer the questions, which she rarely did. she just clung to soundbites and catch phrases, and made statements that were completely irrelevant to the questions.
i agree, we do not want an average joe for president of vp. we had one for the last 8 years. we want an intelligent and informed individual who knows what is going on. why is it not clear to all that palin has no idea what is going on in the world and in the government. it baffles me.
